Your small animal will reside at the store, with access to supplies, toys, food, and friends, while waiting for their new home. We will work with the community to find a match, and if your pet decides they love t

If you choose to have your pet(s) rehomed through our program, you will be asked to sign a surrender form. Your signature on this form represents a permanent decision on your part and gives full ownership to Berthoud Pet Supply. This allows us to provide them with care, veterinary included, and rehomed.

We will not accept animals that are dropped off at the store without the surrender form filled out and accepted. Should we find abandoned animals, they will be taken to a rescue shelter.

We will review your surrender form to determine if we have the resources to support your animal in this program and let you know if we have room to accept your pet(s) within 24 hours.

If your pet(s) are approved to be rehomed through us, we will work with you to make arrangements for the pet(s) to be dropped off.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE
We are not a non-profit, and therefore, do charge a one-time rehoming fee to assist in paying for your pet(s)' room and board.
We charge $50-$100 per pet, depending on whether they come with a cage and supplies.
